                                                                              ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

                                                                                           PRACTICUM ON April 14th

The next Paradigm Shifters gathering will be on Saturday, April 14th.  The specific focus for this month will be “Digging down the rabbit hole…how far can you go and  “How to ‘hear’ Creator’s teachings in a client’s story so they can be downloaded effectively.”  I will combine the Basic and Advanced together so it will be from 11 to 1  with a semi-veg potluck from 1-2 at my home in Santa Rosa (email for directions). The cost is $25.  Please RSVP no later than Wednesday, April 11th.  I welcome all students of ThetaHealing®. Besides having time to work on yourself, remember that the more you practice, the better practitioner you will become, and the more that ThetaHealing® can be incorporated into your life to change it. Having facilitation is important to make your practice more skillful.

                                                                                                        BLOG FOR THE SOUL

We will be moving out of the Mercury retrograde on April 4th which completes its energy cycle on the 23rd and also the Mars retrograde is complete on the 14th.  Allow me to say that I’m soooo excited!

For those unfamiliar, a retrograde pulls back and allows us an opportunity to take care of our past which is related to the planet involved. With Mercury, it’s about communication and oftentimes, break-downs…which can also extend to electrical or mechanical devices involved with communication; while a Mars retrograde is about motion and activity and extends into work and health. Mars will move so quickly forward that it has to retrace its steps…like not to miss anything so there is this movement of forward and backward continually. Any of you relate to these two retrogrades’ influences in your life?  In processing for hours a day in what I’ve been going through, I feel like I’m retracing my life that I processed years ago and finding some new pattern or awareness that I wouldn’t have gotten at that time. I guess it shows me how much I’ve grown.

Still, I don’t care how many Creator’s teachings I’ve given myself on not being affected by retrogrades; I cannot pull my energy of the 6th Plane out of me not to feel it. Every Plane is part of us and ultimately affects us. What if I said that I don’t want to be affected by Magnesium which comes from the 1st plane, and I’m eating a lot of spinach, brown long grain rice, yogurt and avocado which are Magnesium rich? I’m still going to be receiving Magnesium. Whether I fully integrate it is a different story, but I’m still taking it into my body. That’s how I feel about retrogrades in how I experience them along with the influences of my planetary configurations…it’s about the integration of it all coming together.

I’ve been doing a great deal of thinking about integration in my life and my ultimate goal of being authentic and real. Real is a multi-level word. I came across this quote from the movie, Matrix:

"You take the blue pill, the story ends. You wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.

What is real? How do you define real? If you're talking about what you can feel, what you can smell, what you can taste and see, then real is simply electrical signals interpreted by your brain."

I feel that ThetaHealing is an amazing red pill to take one down the ‘rabbit hole’ quickly. Watch a skillful digging unravel those neurons and get into the grit of a situation to expose a person’s true patterns, emotions and beliefs. I normally have boxes of kleenix in my healing room just for this.

The way ‘real’ is expressed in the Matrix is about the context of electrical signals that create the grids or “matrix” of the vast illusion of the 3rd Plane of Existence. But 'being' real with oneself and another is very different. ThetaHealing takes the client into a state where they are asked to be real and honest with themselves, what they feel and what they remember at both a conscious and sub/unconscious state of being. By the practitioner staying present both in their connection to All-That-Is and with the client, the client is able to bypass the conscious mind into the realms of greater truth and deeper vulnerability. This can be a raw, insightful, emotional, exhausting and enlightening experience all at once.

Notice I mention ‘bypass the conscious mind’ which only operates 12% of our spiritual, emotional and thought processes. Bypassing the other 88%, which is sub/unconscious, is what many people would rather do.  This is called Spiritual Bypassing.  It’s my phrase of the month. I’ve been writing about it on Facebook. It is a term that was first identified by psychologist, John Welwood in 1984, as a way to use spiritual practices and beliefs to avoid unresolved wounds, painful feelings and our needs that have been developmentally arrested.  Our society uses spirituality to step outside its fears thinking it’s somehow engaging with it.  More often we are avoiding or dissociating from it.

Have you ever heard anyone say something similar to these phrases?

“I forgave my mother a long time ago for beating me.  No use hanging onto a grudge when she’ll suffer for all that she did to me anyways.”

OR “Get over it. The past is over. You just need a mental shift.”

OR “I'm not calling to argue. I am very supportive of you 88% of the time when you are coming from a place of love (not fear).”

OR “All you gotta’ do is chill out...Let go of control and chill out...Let it be, trust.”

OR “Why have boundaries…you’re just holding on instead of surrendering into the Cosmos. The Cosmos doesn’t have boundaries.”

Or “I share myself, my love with many. Don’t you see how limiting,  unexpansive and unspiritual you are by only wanting to be monogamous?”

Or “Anger is such a negative emotion. We should just be happy. Why do you want to make my life miserable by being angry.”

OR “Why cry when I can see that it won’t do any good. I just need to feel good.”

OR “It’s important to be nice. I don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings by telling them what I feel.”

OR “Tell me what you’re getting by creating this for yourself.”

OR “It’s your karma.”

OR “Get rid of the ego.”

Or “Don’t take it personally. Why does it have to be about you?”

Each of these statements has an element of remaining outside or removed from oneself or from others, placing a barrier of false safety or false knowingness, a way to distance the true feelings that are really locked inside. It either becomes projected outward or turned inward, but damage is done no matter what.  These expressions fall into the categories of being passive-aggressive, shaming, cut-off, judgmental, blaming, detachment of self from the core, controlling, and manipulative. We can all fall into these traps or platitudes.

Many of these statements come from triggers. What I mean by a trigger is when a statement or question is expressed that brings up an emotional charge. Some people become reactive and others diffuse it. The healthy way is to feel it, be with it, move to where it really comes from, explore it and release it from holding us in the past.  We cannot live in the present or in the moment if we cannot acknowledge and release the origins of the triggered feeling which lies in a frozen energy in the ‘past.’

I personally feel that spirituality encompasses all aspects of Creation including the psychological aspect which so importantly needs to be addressed but so often is minimized or discarded for platitudes of subservience to another’s way of operating in the world. We lose our core and parts of ourselves in wanting to advance spiritually. We give up our power to another who must “KNOW,” thinking we are letting go of our ego into something more vast and captivating.

Our real journey in Spirituality is to face our own shadow side or disowned part with courage, caring, and compassion (the 3 C’s), perhaps saying, “I see you inside. I will work with you. You’re sometimes difficult or avoid me, but then what I went through must have been difficult. I’m willing to explore and learn to know, accept and hopefully love you. You don’t feel like what I’m supposed to feel from what others have told me to feel, but I willing to be with what you are really feeling.  I’m willing to explore this rather than avoid it.  We are worth the time and energy in being together with each other.”

It’s this unity consciousness of oneness within that brings about the unity consciousness with the outside world and with All That IS. It’s the only way to see a shift into peace in the world when we make peace with ourselves.

This brings me back to being ‘real’. As we are being an ‘amigo with our ego’, as we learn to love all parts of ourselves, there is a vitality that others feel and are thus attracted to. I personally feel that this is how the Law of Attraction works.  We get clear because we’ve made room in ourselves for this clarity through a unity of understanding inside; and out of that arises a sense of being real, genuine,  focused, being open to being transparent with what we feel and thus we feel the Divine shifting the energy within and into us and our environment  This is intimacy of and with the Divine…being that open vessel…and it’s through emotional intimacy with the self. In doing it with ourselves first, we bring this richness to the surface to share with others in a very profound way.

I invite each one of us on this spiritual journey of life, to honor the places that we have evolved from delving deep inside ourself, and celebrate the Spiritual awakening of moving into becoming more real and genuine. Its resurrection time anyways.  We can share this with the world collectively so we can all acknowledge where we’ve come from to where we are with vulnerability, transparency and courage.

In honor of each of you and Happy Resurrection Easter:

Why we laugh and cry

Cultures around the world allow both crying and laughing as acceptable behaviors. With crying, as well as laughter, the body goes through physical or chemical changes.  There are really three different types of tears. Basal tears keep our eyes lubricated constantly. Reflex tears are produced when our eyes get irritated, like with onions or when something gets into our eyes. The third kind of tear is produced when the body reacts emotionally to something. Each type of tear contains different amounts of chemical proteins and hormones. Scientists have discovered that the emotional tears contain higher levels of manganese and the hormone prolactin, and this contributes in a reduction of both of these in the body; thus helping to keep depression away. Many people have found that crying actually calms them after being upset, and this is in part due to the chemicals and hormones that are released in the tears.

How a Mother’s Love Affects a Baby

Brain images have now revealed that a mother’s love physically affects the volume of her child’s hippocampus. In the study, children of nurturing mothers had hippocampal volumes 10 percent larger than children whose mothers were not as nurturing. Research has suggested a link between a larger hippocampus and better memory.

Biggest Food Forest in the Nation

In Seattle, seven sloping acres at the southwest edge of Jefferson Park is being transformed into an edible landscape and community park that will be known at the Beacon Food Forest, the largest of its kind in the nation. Further down the path an edible arboretum full of exotic-looking persimmons, mulberries, Asian pears, and Chinese haws will surround a sheltered classroom for community workshops. Looking over the whole seven acres, you'll see playgrounds and kid space full of thornless mini-edibles adjacent to community gardening plots, native plant areas, a big timber-frame gazebo and gathering space with people barbecuing, a recreational field, and food as far as you can see."

The Wonderwork Of 1931

Do you want an invisibility cloak like Harry Potter's? Here it is.

University of Birmingham scientists have built an invisibility cloak that makes objects vanish. The cloak – a lump of crystal rather than a flowing cape – can hide only small objects, such as pins and paperclips, but it is the first to work in the range of light visible to humans. The cloak exploits the natural light-bending properties of calcite, a transparent glass-like crystal, so that an object placed under it is hidden by what appears to be a flat, featureless surface. Future cloaks might be used to hide military hardware from view, although the lead researcher, Shuang Zhang at the University of Birmingham, said small cloaks could revolutionize cosmetics by obscuring unsightly blemishes. "If you had a mole on your face, you could potentially cloak it so it won't be seen," Zhang said. "Though you do need a fairly large cloak to hide even a small thing."  The device needs some technical tweaks before it passes muster. Although it can hide small objects from view, the cloak itself – roughly the size of a small paperweight – is visible.

Cloaking Device Breakthrough? Negative Refraction of Visible Light demonstrated.

For the first time, physicists have devised a way to make visible light travel in the opposite direction that it normally bends when passing from one material to another, like from air through water or glass. The phenomenon is known as negative refraction and could in principle be used to construct optical microscopes for imaging things as small as molecules, and even to create cloaking devices for rendering objects invisible.

Hiding Objects With a Terahertz Invisibility Cloak

Researchers at Northwestern University have created a new kind of cloaking material that can render objects invisible in the terahertz range. Though this design can't translate into an invisibility cloak for the visible spectrum, it could have implications in diagnostics, security, and communication.

Time Cloaking: Hiding Events Within Time

Invisibility cloaks are the result of physicists’ newfound ability to distort electromagnetic fields in extreme ways. The idea is steer light around a volume of space so that anything inside this region is essentially invisible. The effect has generated huge interest. The first invisibility cloaks worked only at microwave frequencies but in only a few years, physicists have found ways to create cloaks that work for visible light, for sound and for ocean waves. They’ve even designed illusion cloaks that can make one object look like another. Moti Fridman and buddies, at Cornell University in Ithaca, go a step further. These guys have designed and built a cloak that hides events in time.

Honey Kills Superbugs

Australian researchers have been astonished to discover a cure-all right under their noses -- a honey sold in health food shops as a natural medicine. Far from being an obscure health food with dubious healing qualities, new research has shown the honey kills every type of bacteria scientists have thrown at it, including the antibiotic-resistant "superbugs" plaguing hospitals and killing patients around the world. Some bacteria have become resistant to every commonly prescribed antibacterial drug. But scientists found that Manuka honey, as it is known in New Zealand, or jelly bush honey, as it is known in Australia, killed every bacteria or pathogen it was tested on.It is applied externally and acts on skin infections, bites and cuts. The honey is distinctive in that it comes only from bees feeding off tea trees native to Australia and New Zealand, said Dee Carter, from the University of Sydney's School of Molecular and Microbial Biosciences.

The Mystical Brain

Filmmaker Isabelle Raynauld offers up scientific research that suggests that mystical ecstasy is a transformative experience. It could contribute to people’s psychic and physical health, treat depression and speed up the healing process when combined with conventional medicine. This documentary reveals the exploratory work of a team from the University of Montreal who seek to understand the states of grace experienced by mystics and those who meditate. Scientist Implanted with RFID chip gets computer virus

Dr Mark Gasson, a British scientist and a cybernetics expert at the University of Reading, has had a computer chip implanted in his hand that he programmed to open security doors to his lab - and ensure only he is able to switch on and use his mobile phone. But he deliberately infected the chip with a computer virus, which was then automatically transmitted to affect to the lab security system. "Once the system is infected, anybody accessing the building with their passcard would be infected too," he told Sky News. The virus on his chip is benign, but malicious computer code could give criminals access to a building. His experiment exposes the vulnerability of chips now routinely implanted in patients. If a virus was transmitted to a device like a heart pacemakers which stopped it working properly, the consequences for the patient could be fatal.
