ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH
The next Paradigm Shifters gathering will be a DIGGING BOOTCAMP on Saturday, APRIL 6TH. Do you want to know some different ways to dig and get lots of practice? This one-day practicum will give you the means to play with digging techniques. You will be given the DVD by Vianna, “Digging and Belief work,” and a written transcript of it. I will demonstrate the different techniques on a participant in front of the group, and then everyone will spend a day digging out their issues with facilitation when needed.
I welcome all students of ThetaHealing®. This Bootcamp will go from 11 to 4:30 with a 45-minute organic potluck at my home in Santa Rosa. The cost is $98 (non refundable and non-transferable, and needs to be prepaid by Monday, April 1st so that materials are available. Please contact me of your interest.
Besides having time to work on yourself, remember that the more you practice, the better practitioner you will become, and the more that ThetaHealing® can be incorporated into your life to change it. Having facilitation is important to make your practice more skillful.
The following courses are accredited by the ThetaHealing Institute of Knowledge® and can be applied toward the ThetaHealing® Master program.
[Partial scholarships available if payment is completed at least two weeks prior to any of these three classes.]

BLOG FOR THE SOUL
The clocks have sprung forward around most of the world, the tulip bulbs have risen and shed in my yard, the Mercury retrograde's end shadow completes on the 6th, and I'm biting at the bit for things to take a new shift for me. I can say that having my friend, Dr. Lisa Cooney, a ThetaHealing Master also, doing Full body Thermography (amazing diagnostic information...Lisa will be bringing this technology to the ThetaHealing Institute in Idaho Falls, this summer), Access Consciousness Bars and Facelifts (very subtle but powerful), and then watching Dr. Sharon Lacy do biontology (http://biontologyarizona.com/biontology) on Lisa, definitely gave me and my house some new energy. I felt so blessed to sponsor another healing practitioner in my sacred healing home; and hopefully, Lisa will do this again. And then my veggie and herb beds were completed the following day on Easter Sunday...good timing and symbology for the resurrection of new 'starts.'
I decided last month that I wanted to write about interactions and how passive-aggressive behavior can sneak in. It wasn't until I did some research on this topic that I discovered why this kind of behavior triggers me. It is considered a form of abuse, a psychological covert form. It is veiled, not easily identifiable like physical black and blue marks because it's masked by what seems like 'normal' behavior. Due to a person's own lack of insight into their feelings, the passive aggressive often feels like subconscious anger or resentment towards another, but then acts as if they are misunderstood or are being held to unreasonable standards if they are confronted about their behavior. This often occurs in agreements. And then it is made to look like they are forgiving you for something you didn't do. I call it crazy-making. They rarely mean what they say or say what they mean, and Dr. Seuss can't remedy this. If one attempts to discuss this, they deny that their actions or communication happened like you observed or they project wrongness onto you... they don't act until after they've caused some kind of stress by their ambiguous way of communicating. I have worked so many beliefs around this in interacting with different people, and yet I get caught off guard when another's actions and words don't align. I want to trust others that I've known for awhile, but being pollyannaish or hoping things will change doesn't make the grade when there is a persistent pattern.
For the most part, I'm a straight communicator, meaning I attempt not to use sarcasm to offend, to be kind but direct, keep my boundaries intact without shoving others away or smothering them, be present by listening to what the person is really saying reflecting back when it seems appropriate. I admit that I'm not always perfect and have seen my communication differ in my family. I bet you'll agree that the family is definitely the testing ground to clear things from. On my part what occurs with the occasional passive aggressive statements is that my subconscious' last strategy will become what I dislike in others (not untypical for most). When I look at it, underneath I feel I'm not being heard, so it sneaks in to get their attention...we can then finally get in a conversation to further discuss what is being minimized, cut-off or dismissed which is a strategy my family has often employed in relating to me. My ideas, values, understanding, and spirituality are not very aligned with theirs. We agree to disagree or avoid subjects moreso than not. And I dearly love them. What I appreciate about myself is that I will own these occurrences if given the space to figure it out. I feel coming clean is what keeps emotional intimacy alive, and I place high value in living from this place.
So why did I want to write about this? Any guesses? No, it isn't a confessional on Easter. Well, let's see...yep, like it's happened to me recently. I really hoped things would turn out differently in the person's pattern. I did a great deal of research and note-taking to clarify the truth of the matter, but it was made to look like I wasn't acting in integrity in taking care of my part with others. I came to a place of realizing that I can love another, but truth-telling, trustworthiness and tracking an issue through (the three 'T's' I just made up), needs to occur, or the relationship ends. I then get to stand clear allowing others to think or be where they are at and move on. This had happened a number of times in this particular relationship, and it finally took the start of the mercury retrograde to release the person from teaching me how this pattern needs to be stopped. It had been a long relationship, but understanding that the person could not do better at the state of feeling and evolving they were at, came relief for myself. This was the forgiveness towards the person. And forgiveness towards myself was about realizing I was excusing the behavior thinking it would be honest...I had to stop allowing the excuses and doubting my own intuition of the pattern.
All of this is a perfect awakening to the upcoming lunar eclipse on April 25th, and the influences from the last eclipse in late November of 2012 as eclipses can affect things for up to six months. All of them can produce stress as blockages begin to crumble followed by a feeling of freedom. And freedom comes when we are clear within ourselves of how we want to act and then do act in any situation without the three R's (regret, resentment, rejection) anger, malice or revenge.
So if you use or have used passive-aggression in relating to others, check these beliefs and clear them. Below the beliefs are Creator's teachings. Just say "Yes" if you'd like them as I left them at the 7th Plane. Remember passive aggression is a form of abuse, and if we want to see the world differently, peaceful and harmonious, we start with ourselves.
I use (or need) passive aggression to wake up another to my needs.
I use (or need) passive aggression to create space to communicate with others.
I use (or need) passive aggression to protect myself from others.
I have to hide my anger (resentment or other feelings) in order to get my needs met.
I have to hide my true intentions with others in order to protect myself.
Passive aggression makes me feel in control.
I'm afraid of direct and clear truth-sharing.
Speaking my truth always feels confrontational.
I'm afraid of emotional intimacy.
I have to hide what I feel to make it appear I'm present for others.
I have to blame others for being unable to follow through with any of my expectations.
My expectations of others need to be covert so that I get my needs met without saying what I really need.
I know what it feels like and how to express my true needs to others w/o being manipulative
I know what it feels like and how to express my needs w/o it being covert
I know what it feels like and how to express my needs w/o it being an irrational expectation.
I know what it feels like and how to express my feelings w/o fear of reprisal from others.
I know what it feels like and how to live w/o irrational expections of others.
I know the difference between an unreal (magical) expectations and a rational expectation
[ie I want you to pick me up at 3 every day even if you're busy because I don't want to walk home (as a magical unreal expectation) vs if you say you'll be there at 3, I expect you'll show up... as rational expection/fulfilling an agreement.]
I know what it feels like and how to be safe to express what I need w/o feeling guilty, selfish, or embarrassed.
How Are Happiness and Learning Connected?
A room full of defensive behaviors (withdrawn, angry) is a sad, unproductive place to teach and learn…..When we don't feel threatened at all, we have a willingness to be vulnerable, to be open to new ideas and guidance from others -- the ideal learning scenario! Co-founder of the NeuroLeadership Institute Dr. David Rock says this:"Engagement is a state of being willing to do difficult things, to take risks, to think deeply about issues and develop new solutions. ...Interest, happiness, joy, and desire are approach emotions. This state is one of increased dopamine levels, important for interest and learning." Unfortunately, the hyper focus on standardized testing has gravitated many public schools so very far away from whole-child teaching and learning. Less time is spent on social-emotional, behavioral activities that help create and sustain an inviting and engaging classroom environment. And we know that to engage students in deeper learning -- those times we really stretch their thinking -- there is a certain vulnerability they must surrender to. It's a magical mix of willingness and curiosity. So how do we get them there? (read more)

Scientists Prove DNA Can Be Reprogrammed by Words and Frequencies
Only 10% of our DNA is being used for building proteins. It is this subset of DNA that is of interest to western researchers and is being examined and categorized. The other 90% are considered “junk DNA.” The Russian researchers, however, convinced that nature was not dumb, joined linguists and geneticists in a venture to explore those 90% of “junk DNA.” Their results, findings and conclusions are simply revolutionary! According to them, our DNA is not only responsible for the construction of our body but also serves as data storage and in communication. The Russian linguists found that the genetic code, especially in the apparently useless 90%, follows the same rules as all our human languages. To this end they compared the rules of syntax (the way in which words are put together to form phrases and sentences), semantics (the study of meaning in language forms) and the basic rules of grammar. They found that the alkalines of our DNA follow a regular grammar and do have set rules just like our languages. So human languages did not appear coincidentally but are a reflection of our inherent DNA.
Ketogenic diet may be Key to Cancer recovery
Dr. Hatfield was preparing to die when he heard of metabolic therapy, also known as the ketogenic diet. He had nothing to lose so he gave it a try, and... it worked. The cancer disappeared completely, and at the time of his interview (above), he’d been cancer-free for over a year. The premise is that since cancer cells need glucose to thrive, and carbohydrates turn into glucose in your body, then cutting out carbs literally starves the cancer cells. In this type of diet, you replace carbs with moderate amounts of high quality protein and high amounts of beneficial fat. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2013/03/10/ketogenic-diet.aspx?e_cid=20130310_SNL_Art_1&utm_source=snl&utm_medium=email&utm_content=art1&utm_campaign=20130310
Study: Saccharin And Sugar Found More Addictive Than Cocaine
Back in 2007, a revealing study titled, “Intense sweetness surpasses cocaine reward,” found that when rats were given the option of choosing between water sweetened with saccharin and intravenous cocaine, the large majority of animals (94%) preferred the sweet taste of saccharin. [i] This preference for sweetness was not attributable to its unnatural ability to induce sweetness without calories, because the same preference was found with sucrose; nor was the preference for saccharin overcome by increasing doses of cocaine. Researchers believe that intense sweetness activates ancient neuroendocrine pathways within the human body, making obsessive consumption and/or craving inevitable. The authors of the cocaine/saccharin study summarized this connection in the following link.
Antibiotics in organic apples and pears
Thought antibiotics weren’t allowed in certified organic foods? Well, organic farmers are allowed to spray apple and pear trees with antibiotics, in order to prevent a bacterial disease called fire blight. But in 2011, concerned about the impact on human health associated with the overuse of antibiotics, the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) informed organic apple and pear growers that antibiotics would no longer be allowed to be used after October 21, 2014. Now, due to pressure from the organic apple and pear industry, the NOSB is considering pushing back that date until 2016. Every time you eat an organic apple or pear, you expose your gut flora to measureable levels of streptomycin and tetracycline. This increases your chances of developing resistance to these important antibiotics, both of which are essential to treating human disease. SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY
Scientists have developed a new method of replacing missing teeth with a bioengineered material generated from a person's own gum cells
Current implant-based methods of whole tooth replacement fail to reproduce a natural root structure and as a consequence of the friction from eating and other jaw movement, loss of jaw bone can occur around the implant. The research is led by Professor Paul Sharpe, an expert in craniofacial development and stem cell biology at King's College London and published in the Journal of Dental Research. 'Epithelial cells derived from adult human gum tissue are capable of responding to tooth inducing signals from embryonic tooth mesenchyme in an appropriate way to contribute to tooth crown and root formation and give rise to relevant differentiated cell types, following in vitro culture.
Using 3-D Printing and Injectable Molds, Bioengineered Ears Look and Act Like the Real Thing.
Cornell bioengineers and physicians have created an artificial ear -- using 3-D printing and injectable molds -- that looks and acts like a natural ear, giving new hope to thousands of children born with a congenital deformity called microtia.
New Bio-Solar Panels Are Made from Cotton and Castor Beans
A new type of solar panel component, developed by California-based solar company BioSolar, is made from a material derived from cotton and castor beans. Called BioSolar Backsheets, these products are non-toxic, more durable and less expensive to make than their petroleum-based counterparts. Bio-based solar backsheets won USDA BioPreferred Certification and are now available for commercial purchase.
Gleaning the Fields for the Hungry
Christy Porter’s solution to the high cost of produce and the fact that 40 percent of what American farmers grow gets thrown away, was to start a local anti-hunger initiative, she told NBC News. Hidden Harvest workers, many of them low income individuals themselves, glean the fields for vegetables after farmers have completed their harvest, according to the organization’s website. What they find gets packaged and delivered to local agencies who distribute them for free.
The Bees and the Flowers Mutual Admiration Society under Threat
An experiment by scientists in India found that the decimated bee population in Kerala was caused by electromagnetic waves emitted immediately after the installation of mobile phone towers and cell phones throughout the state. The electromagnetic waves essentially crippled the "navigational skills" of worker bees, according to lead researcher Dr. Sainuddin Pattazhy. The worker bees simply didn’t return to their hive when a cell phone was placed near it, leaving the queens alone with the eggs. This was a simple experiment, but with devastating results, as the entire colony collapsed within ten days.5 Adding to the mystery, parasites, wildlife and other bees, which would normally raid the abandoned hives, would not go near the collapsed colonies. Bayer was accused of marketing dangerous pesticides, clothianidin, that allegedly caused the mass death of bees all over the world.
