                                                                          ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SPIRITUAL GROWTH

                                                                                   ANNUAL SOLSTICE CELEBRATION

As the Solstice/holiday season is fast approaching, I invite and look forward to you celebrating with me at my Annual Solstice Gathering on Saturday, December 17th from 11 to 4. This event is for any level of ThetaHealing. We will spend the day together in camaraderie with other ThetaHealers in holiday celebration. The cost is $45 with all collected going to the scholarship fund. Through your past attendance, you have supported many students in participating in ThetaHealing workshops who would not otherwise be able to attend…thank you so much! Please RSVP by Tuesday, December 13th. I can only hold 15 in my living space…total…so it’s first come basis only. If you RSVP and cannot make it, please let me know two days ahead of time as others will be able to come.

What to Bring and the Schedule of Events

From 11 AM to 1:15, there will be exercises to prepare us for releasing what we’d like to let go of.

1. On a piece of paper, bring a list of what you’ve accomplished or achieved this year which are positive experiences.

2. Have another list of what you’d like to accomplish or achieve in the coming year.

3. Then have a list of the fears or ‘stucks’ that come up in achieving such goals. We will do some belief work so things can move more smoothly into 2012.

4. I will also do Creator’s teachings to support us in moving into this turning-point year, letting go and bringing in the new.

5. Drumming will be experienced as we journey to meet and converse with our guides or with an Ascended Master as extra support in your life. (not that Creator-of-All isn’t enough, but friends from the 4th and5th Plane are very powerful and so much want to participate in our lives).

From 1:15 to 2:25, a delicious, healthy potluck and a white elephant gift exchange.

6. This means letting go of something that you have around the house which you really don’t need or want, and you feel someone else would enjoy or appreciate it. It’s another symbolic gesture to let go of the old so the new can come in. Be mindful in your selection—make sure it isn’t toxic nor has toxic ingredients in it, and that it is not gender-specific. Please clear off the ghost imprint (energy) and charge it with a job (purpose).

From 2:25 to 4, more exercises and group and remote healings.

7. We’ll create a list of what we wish to release to the fire and the air (in my fireplace) and express gratitude and appreciations for what we have learned this year.

8. This will be followed by a manifestation exercise for the coming New Year so be clear of what you want to manifest.  Remember, you don’t have to put everything on the list as you can manifest whenever you want.

9. Also bring in names of people who want healings. We will do a group remote healing that will include us as well.

                                                                                         BLOG FOR THE SOUL

Hi to All:

I’ve really been in the midst of a great deal of inner processing (nothing really new in that, just a different level of awareness).  I am looking at the many angles of presence in my own personal life,  at work  and in relation to others.  I’m seeing how this is reflective in the world. We ask our families, co-workers, employers, teachers and leaders to ‘show up,’ but then how and when do we do this in full presence? And what is full presence? Can it even be achieved? What does it take?

As always, it’s an inside job first. What would it be like if someone invited you to drop into your body, breath, center and say how you’re really feeling about some aspect of yourself or life? This is the first part of being present…the ability to feel your body, describe that feeling,  and then know what you feel emotionally.

Centering is finding that space within yourself that feels like a core that is grounded. Just breathing and relaxing will allow you to focus in experiencing this. It is a practice.

Trust and safety is another aspect of this process. Do you feel you can trust yourself to be safe in your body?  Does your body feel safe? Do you appreciate your body? Do you know it has a consciousness? Have you ever had conversations with your organs, your blood, your muscles, your parasites, your whole body? It’s very revealing! During an Intuitive Anatomy class some years back, I started to cry in realizing how magnificently everything works together. I already knew that everything inside my body ‘talks’ as I’ve been communicating with my body for years. But this time, I listened to their language rather than ‘hearing’ through words, and it was like a weaving tone or song. And where the tone was off was where I needed to explore. It was subtle yet very real.  What would stop you from checking inside if you knew how to do it? It’s a continual practice and awareness.

So would you like to know the following teachings? If so, read them outloud and say, 'yes' as I have placed them at the 7th Plane for your acceptance. Allow yourself to feel each one as it comes into you.

What it feels like and how to trust myself to be safe in my body, that's it's possible and I do it on a daily basis through All-That-IS?

What it feels like to be worthy deserving and good enough to be in my body and that's it's possible through All-That-IS?

What it feels like and how to appreciate my body, that it's possible and I do it on a daily basis through All-That-IS?

What it feels like and how to converse with my body, my organs, my body systems, my microbes, and that it's possible through All-That-IS?

Let’s take a shift back to what comprises presence. The conscious mind works with logic, which is great. Thinking things out creates a structure, order, stability and an opportunity to plan and create goals. In ThetaHealing, the logic works well in seeing how the subconscious pattern pieces come together. Being rational and logical definitely has its place, but it needs to be infused with fluidity of the sub or unconscious mind where we can access other realms of existence including All-That-Is. This allows us to come into balance, it allows us to connect with our bodies, our cells as a whole experience.

So many people live in their heads… that is, they live from their neck up and out of their body, and that’s where they respond from. This is where logic and rationality can become  a protective barrier, a stubborn veil from which either distorted or displaced reasoning becomes the rational way of being or a way to stop the experience of true feelings, hopes and desires. Either way, it can gets us by, but it doesn’t help us to really experience the richness and depth of life, and it can add the elements of limitation and stressfulness. This is the tricky part because usually these protective barriers are fear-based and are supported by hatred, anger, resentment, rejection, regrets or grudges.  They, themselves, can become subconscious. These feelings take us away from our authenticity... which arises when we learn to be true to ourselves.  The protective barriers all have to be identified through feeling into them. It’s a somatic, fluid experience.

We live in a world that too often chastises us for experiencing from our heart and true desires. Conformity, not uniqueness, is rallied.  Isn’t it great that this rigid paradigm is in the midst of upheaval?!

It is always interesting to work with clients and ask them to drop into their body. It takes a focused concentration which is really what ThetaHealing is about both for the practitioner and client.  I have heard, as I’m asking a question about what is happening in their body, “I don’t feel anything.” Or “There’s nothing to feel.” OR  “Can’t you just tell me what’s going on?” OR “I don’t know.” This is where the practitioner questions themselves of, “Where do I go with this?”  And if you don’t know me… well... my answer to these questions are, “If you did know or if you did feel….”

I also use a little trick to help people feel into their body. I ask them to tell me where it feels tight or tense, to give that tightness or tension a color, a texture, a shape, a consistency, and to sense how big or small it is. And then I ask them to give it a voice…what would it say? This helps them to somatically connect to their feelings and beliefs, and I dig from there. When the digging has some resolution, I ask if the tension or tightness has changed in the way it was originally held, and if it has and the person feels resolved in stepping into the original scene, if the top belief has cleared, we’re complete. If it hasn’t changed, I ask for that voice again to lead us down the ‘rabbit hole.’

We cannot get through a digging session in analyzing through our logical mind or we will lose track of the person’s process and how to help them reach the bottom belief. I stay in an open-eye theta most the time and often close my eyes to ‘hear’ Creator more deeply when I don’t have a clue where to go or what to say.  This is really letting go into the mystery of someone else’s process so we can get them through the session comfortably.  And this is how I work on myself. I let go and just allow whatever comes up or through me. All aspects of the journey are welcome…not always comfortable, but welcome none-the-less.  I’ve learned to be fearless, because in truth, God always leads me through. And believe me, I’ve been in dark terrain. It's the allowance that helps to dissolve the resistance.

This all means that collectively we need full presence with Creator to do this. And if we don’t feel comfortable letting go and letting God, meaning listening where to guide the client or ourselves, we’ll end up during or after the session exhausted, frustrated and possibly not liking the client, ourselves, or God. The more we clear our own beliefs about Creator, the easier it is to keep the connection and feel complete after a session.  It takes practice and practice. There is always plenty to work on, because we are a piece of creative work in progress.

I want to mention, practitioners, that it’s very important when digging, to work with this present life, particularly the childhood issues where most of the basis of the beliefs start. People just love to give distance to theirs’ or the clients’ issues by saying it’s a past life and working from there.  This happens so much around issues of trauma. I recently commented to Vianna about this on her November webcast, and she agreed that the practitioner needs to look at their own fears and that even if it is a past life, the pattern is in this life.

Presence is also active listening. When we listen to another, in full attention and presence, (which doesn't mean thinking about your last client's situation or the argument you had yesterday on the phone), we are able to share what we just heard the client say, tell the client what we heard and get confirmation that what they said was fully understood. This can be used in every day situations as well and what therapist teach to their clients. Our communication skills in session are transferable to our daily lives.

In ThetaHealing (or in life), we can also reframe what the client has said and/or refer it back to them in being present.   An example would be (and I really made this up though I'm sure this might have happened at some point in my practice)...A client is sharing that she just broke up with their boyfriend, but they are calling each other every day and she is crying all the time because she feels he won't let her go. [Notice that the woman is blaming the boyfriend for her emotional state and is not taking responsibility for her part in the continued connection with the man.] As a practitioner in presence, you could reflect back, "So your relationship has gone through a transformation and it's hard to let go because of your grief." I have turned it around so she can see her part, reflecting it back in a gentle, compassionate way without getting into the boyfriend's actions.

Another level of presence is taking ownership of our feelings. We’ve breathed into our body, we’ve identified where things feel uncomfortable, we’ve given it an experience and voice, we’ve dug down and cleared the beliefs, we see the situation different, and we feel better. Now how does this integrate into our lives? What happens when we see that person or are in that situation that once upset us? How do we practice this shift? We can chose many ways, but the most important is back to the basics… drop into ourselves, breath, center  and express or act from our truth in the most genuine and compassionate way possible.  This is transparency through presence.

We can amaze ourselves in the difference our presence lends itself in every situation.  When we take ownership of our feelings, when we stop blaming the other person or situation and realize our part, we are making a quantum shift in consciousness. We can decide honestly if that relationship or situation really works for us or how to make it work for us if it’s important. It is through our body, our feelings and our connection to All-That-Is that this is done.  And it takes practice and practice and practice.

Presence can be extended to everything we do like eating, breathing, working as well. We feel and we ‘be’. The ‘be’ is that part of human that we often forget. We are human ‘beings’.  As we recognize fully what this entails, when we recognize that in each moment that goes by we are being so loved and accepted for who we are by All-That-Is, that we know it fully, and this is where all our actions arise from, and that we live each moment in this awareness, we will then have experienced enlightenment.

To all of us human beings as we evolve our consciousness and as the 2012 energy strengthens

God bless! Happy Holidays! And Happy New Years!

Paper Art extraordinaire

Calvin Nicholls is full time paper sculpture artist since the mid 1980. One of his most extensive collections includes over 75 pieces for Follett Library Resources in McHenry Illinois. The motifs are all wildlife, and that must be one of the hardest categories of things to make with paper since there are sometimes impossible details on animals. These details are amazing and I can't even fathom the time it must have taken to create these masterpieces of art.

In Justin’s mother, Rhonda, connection to the dog,  she had hugged Hero softly petting her face and cooed, “Justin, are you in there?”, a gentle way of remembering their son and his last living connection to Hero. Hero wandered off and took a stroll in the backyard. All of a sudden, the clouds broke and a light began to solidify in a beam directly down on Hero — a kind of vertical halo. It was an unforgettable moment and then the light vanished.
